Born on February 8, 1940, she made significant strides in education and governance being the first woman in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to receive advanced education, obtain a university degree, and hold a government position. She served as Minister of Social Affairs from October 31, 1966, to December 6, 1970, and later held various positions with the United Nations.
