Karl Sören Carlson was a Swedish social democratic municipal politician born on February 17, 1919, in Överhogdal, Jämtland. He was the son of Axel Karlsson and Ida Nilsson. Carlson studied at folk high school and LO School during 1946-1947. His career included working as a forestry worker, baker, and ombudsman for the Swedish Aid Committee for Spain. He joined Folksam in 1951, became head of personnel in 1957, and served as social councilor in Stockholm from 1963 to 1973. He was also involved in several organizations and committees within Stockholm municipality.
