Søren Koch (1932-2012) was a Danish architect and lecturer, son of architect Mogens Koch. He studied at the Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole, graduating in 1957. Koch taught at various design schools in the U.S. and served as a lecturer at the Technical University of Denmark until 1997. He was involved with notable organizations, such as the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and authored works including a book on historical wooden trusses. Koch designed furniture, including a notable armchair produced by Fritz Hansen. He passed away from lung cancer in 2012.
