Sori Siregar, born on November 12, 1939, is an Indonesian writer full name Sutan Sirovi Sori Siregar. He graduated high school in Medan in 1959, then pursued higher education there while beginning his writing career in 1960. Siregar wrote short stories for 18 years and published his first novel in 1980. He is known for his contributions to Indonesian literature and is the younger brother of fellow writer Ridwan Siregar.
