Soso Koiava (born February 14, 1933, in Abasha) is a prominent Georgian sculptor and honored artist of Georgia. He is known for reviving ancient Georgian metalwork in contemporary art and continuing the traditions in the field of metal sculpture. Koiava graduated from Tbilisi State Art Academy specializing in sculpture. He held various academic positions, including the rector of Tbilisi State Art Academy. His notable works include 'Tea Plantation' and 'Renaissance'. He has participated in group exhibitions across 36 countries and received the Order of Honour of Georgia in 1999.
