Souren Gurgen Shahinyan was an Armenian engineer and educator born on April 13, 1926, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR. He earned a PhD in technical sciences in 1965 and became a professor in 1991. Shahinyan was an active member of the Union of Architects of Armenia since 1961 and contributed significantly to the field of construction engineering in Armenia. He passed away on August 13, 2005, in Yerevan, Armenia.
