Srečko Korošak was a Slovenian bassoonist born on February 27, 1933, in Ljutomer. He graduated in 1958 from the Music Academy in Belgrade under professor Ivan Turšič. Korošak furthered his studies in Paris and Vienna. He performed frequently as a soloist with the Slovenian Philharmonic and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, known for his exceptional talent and virtuosity. Tragically, his life was cut short in a traffic accident during a period of prolific creativity.
