Srikumar Banerjee (April 25, 1946 - May 23, 2021) was an Indian metallurgical engineer and scientist. He served as the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India and Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy until his retirement on April 30, 2012. Prior to this role, he was the Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre from April 30, 2004, to May 19, 2010. He was also a Homi Bhabha Professor at the same institution and was recognized as a prominent metallurgist. He passed away due to heart-related issues on May 23, 2021.
