Shriyut Sriniwas Tiwari was an influential Indian politician from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, who served in state politics for several decades. A member of the Indian National Congress for most of his career, he was a six-time member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and speaker from 1993 to 2003. Tiwari advocated against the merger of Vindhya Pradesh with Madhya Pradesh and was known as the White Tiger of Madhya Pradesh. He also served in the Vindhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly before its merger. He lost the 2008 assembly election from Sirmour.
