Embracing her transgender identity, she came out after college and has worked in the Kerala Government's Social Justice Department. She started modeling in 2018 and achieved international recognition by winning the title of Miss Trans Global 2021, making her the first Indian transgender woman to win an international beauty pageant. Besides her modeling career, Sithara plays a lead role in an upcoming film, Pink, and is active in advocating for LGBT+ rights.
