He began at WKBW-AM in 1952, playing a key role in the launch of WKBW-TV in 1958. Later, Barron moved to WBEN, where he hosted a successful evening sports talk show and served as a commentator for various sports, including Buffalo Bills, University of Buffalo Bulls football, and others. He was instrumental in the return of the baseball Bisons in 1979 and was recognized posthumously for his contributions to sports broadcasting.
