Stanley Edmond Gleeson was an Australian politician born on 17 May 1910 in St Kilda. He studied engineering and became a rural property manager after serving in World War II with the Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Joining the Liberal Party, he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council in 1965 and served until 1979. He was active in agricultural organizations, presiding over the Victorian branch of the Australian Primary Producers Union. Gleeson passed away on 24 May 1999.
