Stanisław Czerniec was a Polish Catholic priest, born on January 20, 1908, in Posada Górna, and he died on July 28, 1986, in Gorlice. He served as a prelate and a canon of the Brzozów collegiate chapter. Czerniec was the long-time pastor of Bączal Dolny near Jasło, where he was involved in the construction of the Church dedicated to the Name of Mary. He faced surveillance and repression by the Security Service of the Polish People's Republic.
