Stanisław Kozicki, known by the pseudonym "Howerla", was a Polish scoutmaster and a lieutenant who significantly participated in the Warsaw Uprising as the commander of the 1st platoon of the 3rd company "Giewont" of the "Zośka" battalion. He was active in the Polish underground resistance during the Nazi occupation. Kozicki fought valiantly in battles in Wola and the Old Town, ultimately falling in combat on August 22, 1944, at the age of 26. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Virtuti Militari for his bravery.
