Stanisław Marchewka, pseudonym 'Ryba', was a Polish professional non-commissioned officer, born on November 15, 1908, in Jeziorku near Łomża, and died on March 4, 1957, in the same place. He served as a platoon commander in the Home Army (AK) and led a partisan unit during and after World War II. Marchewka was significant as one of the last underground officers who died fighting against the communist regime in Poland, with only a few fellow partisans surviving beyond the 1950s.
