Stanko Lorger was a Slovenian track and field athlete born on February 14, 1931, in Postojna. He competed in the Summer Olympics in 1952, 1956, and 1960. Throughout his career, he was honored with induction into the Slovenian Athletic Hall of Fame and received the Bloudek Award. Track and field is a collection of sports that includes running, walking, throwing, and jumping, and has been a fundamental part of the Olympic Games since ancient Greece. Lorger passed away on April 25, 2014.
