Stanley B. Lippman was an influential American computer scientist and author, best known for authoring the C++ Primer, now in its fifth edition. He contributed to the development of C++ alongside Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Laboratories. His other notable work includes Inside the C++ Object Model. Lippman served as an architect for Visual C++ and later worked for Emergent Game Technologies, NASA, and Pixar. At the time of his death in 2022, he was employed at 2kQubits.
