Stef Stokhof de Jong (1950-2021) was a Dutch sculptor and textile artist known for his unique use of natural stone, bronze, glass, perspex, and textiles. He trained in stone carving and bronze casting in the United States and later in marble working in Italy. Establishing himself as an artist in Wijk bij Duurstede, he also worked in Spain. His bronze sculptures are characterized by rough surfaces with typically brown-orange patinas. In 2014, he collaborated on a book about the art history of Soest and Soesterberg.
