Štefan Korošec was a Slovenian politician born on March 2, 1938, in Trbovlje. He served as an officer pilot in the Yugoslav Air Force from 1957 to 1963 before pursuing higher education. He graduated in psychology from the University of Ljubljana in 1968 and obtained a master's degree in economics in 1972 in Zagreb. Korošec held various significant political roles, including president of the Market and Price Committee and secretary of the presidency of CK ZKJ. From 1990 to 1991, he was the Slovenian ambassador to Portugal.
