Don Stefano Casadio was an Italian priest and anti-fascist missionary, born on February 26, 1913, in Cotignola, and passed away on May 27, 2001, in Rome. He played a crucial role in 1945 as the parish priest of Cotignola, where he, along with partisans, halted bombings in their town by persuading Allied forces to cease fire. Casadio served as the parish priest of Reda from 1956 before moving to Brazil. His legacy is honored by the naming of the Comprehensive Institute of Cotignola in 2006.
