Stefano Palmieri is an Italian golfer born on May 6, 1972, in Piombino. After losing his sight in a car accident in August 2002, he began playing golf at the age of 40 at Golf Club Toscana 'Il Pelagone'. He became the first and only winner of the Japan Open Blind. In 2013, he met golf master Simone Micciarelli, with whom he developed a personalized training technique that led to significant achievements. He received the Italian Values Award on September 21, 2017, for his determination, resilience, ambition, and challenge.
