Steffi Carruthers is a former Samoan tennis player born on May 24, 1993. She made history as the first Samoan woman to play professional tennis and the first Pacific Oceanian to win a professional tournament. Starting tennis at age five, Carruthers achieved a career-high WTA ranking of 662 in singles and 556 in doubles. She won two ITF titles and represented Pacific Oceania in the Fed Cup. At the 2017 Pacific Mini Games, she excelled with multiple medals, and was nominated for Sports Woman of the Year in 2016.
