Born in Cape Town, she trained as a nurse and worked at Harare Central Hospital. After her husband was detained, she challenged the legality of his imprisonment, leading to a historic ruling that declared the Rhodesian government illegal. She contributed significantly to nursing education and practice in Zimbabwe and served as a matron at Harare Hospital until her retirement.
