Stella Maudine Nickell, born on August 7, 1943, is an American woman known for her conviction in 1988 for product tampering. She poisoned Excedrin capsules with cyanide, leading to the deaths of her husband, Bruce Nickell, and another individual, Sue Snow. Her case was significant as it was the first prosecution under federal product tampering laws, which were enacted following the infamous 1982 Chicago Tylenol murders. Nickell was sentenced to ninety years in prison for her actions.
