Dr. Steph Cook (born February 7, 1972, in Irvin, North Ayrshire, Scotland) is a retired Olympic athlete and gold medalist. She was educated in Bedford at the Perse School for Girls, graduated from Peterhouse, Cambridge, and attended Lincoln College, Oxford, where she studied medicine. During her time at Oxford, she also trained in modern pentathlon while completing her clinical medicine course. In 1997, she won the individual women's title in squash against Cambridge.
