Stephen Scott Clarey (born 9 July 1940) is a retired United States Navy rear admiral (lower half) who played significant roles during key military operations. He commanded the U.S. Maritime Prepositioning Force during Operation Desert Shield and led the Pacific Fleet/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Amphibious Task Force during Operation Desert Storm. With a career spanning thirty years, he retired from the navy in August 1992, marking a distinguished service in the U.S. military.
