Stephen Kirwa is a former Kenyan marathon runner born on March 1, 1966. He achieved notable success in the 1990s, finishing fourth in the Turin Marathon in 1996. That same year, he became the world champion with the Kenyan marathon relay team at the IAAF World Road Relay Championships in Copenhagen. In 1997, Kirwa won the Hamburg Marathon and placed third at the Chuncheon Marathon. He further excelled by finishing fifth in the Vienna City Marathon in 1998 and third in the Stockholm Marathon in 2000.
