After a brief playing career, he turned to coaching, leading Newport and later revitalizing Pontypool. He achieved remarkable success, securing a league championship title in the 2002/3 season. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 55, but is remembered through memorial matches honoring his contributions to the sport.
