Steve Mapsalak (born March 17, 1957) is a Canadian politician who has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Nunavut. He first won the Akulliq seat in the 2004 election and faced a narrowly contested defeat in 2008, leading to a revote that he lost again. Mapsalak was re-elected in 2013 for the Aivilik district. His prior experience includes being mayor of Repulse Bay and chair of the board of governors for Nunavut Arctic College.
