Steven R. Riggs is an American politician from Louisville, Kentucky, born in 1959. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives for District 31 from 1991 to 2019, completing fourteen terms. Riggs first entered the House in 1990, when he successfully challenged the incumbent Democratic representative Mark O'Brien for renomination. He chose not to seek reelection in 2018, closing a long political chapter in his career.
