Steve Wallach is an American computer architect born in September 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. He studied electrical engineering and earned a master's degree from both Brooklyn Polytechnic University and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MBA from Boston University. Wallach contributed to the development of the Eclipse MV/8000 minicomputer at Data General. He co-founded Convex Computer and served as CTO, later becoming CTO of HP's Large Systems Group post-acquisition. He has held advisory roles and was recognized with the Seymour Cray Award and is a Fellow of IEEE and the National Academy of Engineering.
