Steven John Grieveson, born on December 14, 1970, is a notorious British serial killer known as the Sunderland Strangler. He murdered four teenage boys in Sunderland, England, between 1990 and 1994. Grieveson was convicted of three murders in 1996, receiving three life sentences, later adding a fourth life sentence for the 1990 murder of 14-year-old Simon Martin in 2013. Known for his method of ligature strangulation, he is currently serving his sentences at HMP Full Sutton maximum security prison.
