Stig Bertil Eek (1932-2008) was a Swedish ice hockey player and author. He played for clubs including Hammarby and AIK, and was one of the first foreign professionals in ice hockey in Germany. In addition to sports, he worked socially with youth and group development. After retirement, he led popular city walks in Södermalm, particularly around Långholmen and Hornstull. Eek was committed to continuous learning about his neighborhood and engaging participants in his walks.
