Stockton Rush was an American businessman and the founder and CEO of OceanGate. He was known for his passion for exploring the deep sea and for his role in the development of the Titan submersible. In June 2023, Rush died along with four others in the Titan submersible during a visit to the wreck of the Titanic in the North Atlantic. He was married to Wendy Weil Rush, a great-great-granddaughter of Isidor and Ida Straus, who perished together in the Titanic disaster.
