Stu Cook, born Stuart Alden Cook, is an American bassist known for being a member of the famous rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. He attended California State University, Long Beach and began his music career in the group The Blue Velvets. After various lineup changes and a brief period as The Golliwogs, the band became Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1968. Following the disbandment of CCR, he played with several groups and eventually co-founded Creedence Clearwater Revisited with fellow CCR member Doug Clifford.
