Stuart Norman Mustow CBE was a prominent British civil engineer who served as the county surveyor of the West Midlands from 1974 to 1986. He played a key role in the development of the M5 and M6 motorways and was instrumental in transferring the Birmingham Inner Ring Road's control to the county. After retiring from municipal work, he joined private practice and became a director at WS Atkins. Mustow held leadership positions as president of both the Institution of Municipal Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers, and he was a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
