Sukanta Majumdar is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India's Parliament, from Balurghat in West Bengal during the 2019 Indian general elections. Currently, he serves as the state president of the BJP in West Bengal. He holds a PhD in Botany and is a professor of Botany at Gour Banga University. Majumdar assumed the role of West Bengal BJP president on September 20, 2021, succeeding Dilip Ghosh.
