Sun Diego, born Dmitrij Aleksandrovic Chpakov on March 17, 1989, in Czernowitz, Ukraine, is a German rapper of Ukrainian-Jewish descent based in Osnabrück. He gained popularity primarily as a battle rap artist. At one time, he performed under the stage name SpongeBOZZ, inspired by the cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants, incorporating elements of gangsta rap and using a voice altered to resemble that of SpongeBob. Since late 2017, he has primarily used the name Sun Diego, rapping in his natural voice.
