Chief Sunday Bolorunduro Awoniyi (30 April 1932 – 28 November 2007) was a prominent Nigerian politician and tribal aristocrat from Kogi State. He held the title of Aro of Mopa and played a major role in the political landscape as a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, although he faced expulsion and later reinstatement. Additionally, Awoniyi served as the chairman of the national executive council of the Arewa Consultative Forum, a significant group representing the interests of Northern Nigeria.
