Suranjan Das (February 22, 1920 - January 10, 1970) was an Indian Air Force pilot and one of the first Experimental Test Pilots (ETP) in India. He evaluated all jet aircraft for over twenty years. He joined the Royal Indian Air Force during World War II and was later the first Indian pilot at the Empire Test Pilots' School. From 1967 to 1969, he served as the Group Captain of Halwara Air Force Station and became the director of the Aircraft and Armament Testing Group until his death. He was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1979.
