Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) from 2012 to 2019. He was a member of the 12th and 14th Lok Sabha, representing the Nalgonda constituency of Telangana. Reddy was a key figure in student agitation at a young age and led several mass struggles. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour. A well-respected leader within and outside the party, he was born on March 25, 1942, and has a background in history and law.
