Surendra Singh Alirajpur was an Indian diplomat born to Yuvarani Rajendra Kumari and Maharajkumar Fateh Sinhji. He served as the governor of Alirajpur and signed the instrument of accession to India in 1947. Alirajpur joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1948, and held various positions, including Deputy Controller of Imports, Secretary to Jawaharlal Nehru, and Ambassador to several countries including Zaire and Spain, until 1981.
