Susan Lindquist (June 5, 1949 - October 27, 2016) was a molecular biologist and professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She specialized in protein folding problems, particularly focusing on heat shock proteins and prions. Lindquist was a member and former director of the Whitehead Institute and received the National Medal of Science in 2010 for her contributions to the field.
