Susan Rubio is an American politician born on December 25, 1970. She serves in the California State Senate, representing the 22nd Senate District in eastern Los Angeles County as a member of the Democratic Party. Before her election to the California Legislature in 2018, she served as an elected official in Baldwin Park for 13 years and worked as a public school teacher for 17 years. Notably, she is the first Latina Chair of the State Senate Insurance Committee and also chairs the Senate Select Committee on Domestic Violence.
