Suzan Saad Zaghloul is an Egyptian politician born on October 3, 1963. She is a member of the Shura Council, representing the Freedom and Justice Party, and notably was the only female candidate elected in the 2011-2012 People's Assembly elections and the 2012 Shura Council elections. A native of Suez, she holds a PhD in the philosophy of science from Suez Canal University and works as a researcher at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. She has received the Modern Mother Award in 2007 and was elected to the Constitutional Assembly in March 2012.
