Susanna Kristiina Pöykiö is a Finnish figure skater born on February 22, 1982, in Oulu. She started skating at the age of three, inspired by her sister Heidi, who was also a skater. Known for her elegant style, she was dubbed the 'European Kwan.' Pöykiö was a three-time Finnish champion and the first Finnish woman to win medals at ISU Championships, including bronze at the 2001 World Junior Championships and silver at the 2005 Europeans. She announced her retirement from competitive sport in March 2010.
