Susano Polanco (May 24, 1902 – May 15, 1991) was a renowned Dominican tenor and singer. He began his career performing with Bienvenido Troncoso and Chencho Pereyra, later receiving vocal training from friends Juan Francisco García and Julio Alberto Hernández. Polanco debuted as a soloist in 1921 and became one of the Dominican Republic's most popular singers during the 1920s and 1930s. He performed extensively throughout the Caribbean, including significant concerts in Puerto Rico and Cuba, before retiring in 1935 to focus on teaching music.
