Xesús Vaamonde Polo, known as Suso Vaamonde, was a Galician singer-songwriter and composer born in Ponte Caldelas on December 20, 1950. He was an influential figure in the Galician music scene and a member of the vocational and protest music movement Voces Ceibes from 1971 to 1974. His contributions to music and culture left a significant impact on the Galician community. Vaamonde passed away in Vigo on February 16, 2000.
