Suzanne Toolan RSM (born October 24, 1927) is an American teacher, musician, and composer. She became connected with Taizé through youth meetings in North America. At 17, she moved to Hollywood to study under Richard Keys Biggs. After joining the Sisters of Mercy, she has lived and worked as a teacher and composer. Toolan is known for her hymns, particularly 'I Am the Bread of Life' and other works for Taizé, contributing significantly to contemporary liturgical music. Her autobiography was published in 2007.
