Svein Reidar Sevje is a Norwegian diplomat, prominent for his contributions in Middle Eastern diplomacy. He volunteered in an Israeli kibbutz post-Six Day war and later pursued studies in history. Sevje has held various significant positions within the Norwegian Foreign Service, including overseeing sections focused on Africa and the Middle East. He was Norway's first diplomatic representative to the Palestinian Authority and served as ambassador in Syria, Lebanon, and Israel. Controversially, he linked Norwegian views on Palestinian terror to Israeli policies during the 2011 Norway attacks.
